As the ocean ebbs and flows so does our energy. We change and grow and regress and fall back but when the ocean brushes the shore it leaves a unique pattern each time. Placing beautiful shells in our paths or a threat that we need to avoid. Over the last month I have experienced ups and downs along with incredible clarity and growth. I have reminded myself who I truly am and that I still understand the power of challenges and hard work.  I feel closer to creating a life I can be proud of and stand by my motto of live your life girl.  

The end of the month brings Mercury into retrograde causing havoc over many energies. As I joked with my boss that I would have to take the next two weeks off, part of me really believes that taking time off to let the havoc pass is not a bad idea after all. As a Gemini I am ruled by Mercury and if retrograde impacts you as much as it does me, you will understand how difficult it is to live your life girl. I used to think negatively about this time and spin up a self-fulfilling prophecy that the universe is out to get me. Since Mercury spins in reverse at least 4 times in a year it can get quite exhausting looking for reasons it could spin your world upside down.  Over the last few retrogrades I have looked forward to these times as an opportunity to see how I might be challenged and learn from moving through it. Don’t get me wrong it is a lesson that takes practice each time especially when no logic can explain the mess it creates. Instead of falling into the negativity that has such a strong pull I remind myself that roadblocks in life happen all the time and how I react holds more power. This phase of Mercury will not hold me back from making the progress I have set out to make. In a few days the rotation will return, and September will have started all on its own. Cool mornings and hot days, the sound of the bus flying up and down the road and a slight change in the color of the tress peaks through. The sun starts turning golden peering through my window and I feel that sense of excitement brewing. A new month gives us new opportunities to share all the ups and downs that occur from day to day. The messiness that life dumps on us and the clean slates it allows us to create offers bold new adventures. A new month to share moments of unexplainable pleasure that make us smile in the middle of other thoughts and a new month to share in the sorrow that we hold close as we comfort close friends after an incredible loss. Change and growth, regression and fall backs will happen no matter which way Mercruy spins.  Capturing the power your ruling planet gives you, no matter if it creates the good or the bad, is up to you and you must live your life girl in the present.
